Comfort of use
Glasses are manufactured from light polycarbonate. Silicon inserts in noses and terminals of wrap temples make glasses perfectly adhere, not pinch and not slide from head, ensuring high comfort even during many hours of work. Adjustment of angle between the screen and face and wrap temple length enables optimum adjustment of glasses to individual traits of the user. Due to flexible frame goggles more tightly and precisely cover the area of eyes, thus ensuring better protective properties. They are fitted with indirect and direct venting system. Screens on the inner side are covered with a coat with properties minimizing possible misting over. Flexible, adjustable tape guarantees appropriate adjustment of goggles to the face.
Basic parameter having and influence on comfort of usage of eye and face protection equipment is optical class of the protective screens and filters. Samprey’s safety glasses and protective goggles meet the requirements of 1st optical class, that is can be used continuously during the eight-hour working day as well as in operations requiring precision.
Samprey’s safety glasses meet the requirements of low Energy impact strength – ‘F’. Eye protection equipment ensuring pretection of eyes against low Energy particles – ‘F’ endure a stroke of a steel ball with rated diameter of 6 mm and minimum weight of 86g, striking with speed of 45 m/s.
Samprey’s protective goggles meet the requirements of low energy impact strength – ‘F’ and medium energy impact strength – ‘B’. Eye protection equipment ensuring protection of eyes against medium energy particles – ‘B’, endure a stroke of a steel ball with rated diameter of 6 mm and minimum weight of 86g, striking with speed of 120 m/s.
Samprey’s face shields meet the requirements of low Energy impact strength – ‘F’, medium energy impact strength – ‘B’ and high impact strength – ‘A’. Eye protection equipment ensuring protection of eyes against high energy particles – ‘A’, endure a stroke of a steel ball with rated diameter of 6 mm and minimum weight of 86g, striking with speed of 190 m/s.
Scope of usage
Current standards in the scope of eye protection do not contain precise criteria defining type and concentration of dangerous chemical substances, presence of which requires use of goggles or face protection helmets. For chemical substances harmful and dangerous to health, when choosing personal protection equipment, one should follow the guidelines contained in Safety Data Sheets of dangerous substances.
Safety glasses with correction
Screens of glasses, in their lower part, have a corrective insert addressed to people with sight defect. Range from +1.0 to +3.0 dioptres.
Welding goggles with optical lenses
SA 990 equipped (optional) with a set of optical polycarbonate lenses with power from +1.00 to + 5.00 diopters.
Optical rim allows fixing of corrective glasses for people with sight impairment. Occurs in models labeled "R *".
Resistance for scratching
Transparent elements (screen and filters) may be made from mineral glass or synthetic materials. The most frequently used material is polycarbonate or cellulose acetate. These materials are characterized by high mechanical resistance, but they are very sensitive to scratching. In order to maximize their resistance for scratching, screens from synthetic materials are case hardened.
Resistance for misting over
Misting over the screens of glasses and, in particular, of goggles is most often caused by a defective venting of room, where the worki s being performed. If there is no possibility to ensure appropriate conditions of humidity and temperature, glasses fitted with screens resistant to misting-over can be used. Screens are covered with a special coat preventing misting over. In order to preserve hight properties of coating, it should be protected against scratching and any mechanical damages. Layer preventing misting over may be a subject to abrasion!
Possibility to replace the used lens with new one. Reduces operating costs. Interchangeable lenses are not included with the glasses!
The elastic band gives the user new possibilities of using the glasses. Safety glasses combine the features of goggles with the benefits of typical eyeglasses.
Resistant to particles with high speed in extremal temperatures - "T". (+55°C / -5°C)
Spectacles that provide protection against high-speed particles at extreme temperatures. If "T" does not appear in the label, glasses may only be used at room temperature.
